These two updates are seems to break SQL Windows-based authentication resulting in clients getting the message below. Remove these July 2023 updates from the server and everything magically goes back to working as it did before.
- 2023-07 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB5028169)
- 2023-07 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2019 (1809) for x64-based Systems (KB5028168)
